I want my hair WAVY NOT CURLY but i h ave straight hair but my moms friend said dont get a perm caus

will fall out:( EVERYTHING i tried to wave it wont work if i braid it, it only lasts 5 minutes, if i put it in a bun overnight it only lasts 5 minutes, and i use rollers, well they dont even work i cant scrunch it cause it doesnt stay..... WHAT CAN I DO?!?!?!?!?!?!

I want my hair WAVY NOT CURLY but i h ave straight hair but my moms friend said dont get a perm cause my hair?

listen to ur mom,

I want my hair WAVY NOT CURLY but i h ave straight hair but my moms friend said dont get a perm cause my hair?

Yeah, don't listen to your mom's friend. Perming your hair will not make it fall out,

I want my hair WAVY NOT CURLY but i h ave straight hair but my moms friend said dont get a perm cause my hair?

use a fixing spray before you braid and then throughout the day dampen your ands and scrunch your fingers through your hair to revitalize the spray,it works for my daughter,or even scrunch dry using a defuser and a fixing spray xx

I want my hair WAVY NOT CURLY but i h ave straight hair but my moms friend said dont get a perm cause my hair?

i've got a similar problem. try using a really hot 1 inch curling iron to create spiral curls and use lots of hairspray!! strong freeze hold!! don't put in any smoothing, shining, or straightening products. maybe use a curling spray to spray on dry hair right before curling. i think i've used heat waves in an orange bottle and it worked for me, but the curls were a little sticky and stiff. don't condition your hair at the roots, just from mid-shaft to tips. i saw something in a magazine about ISO Nexture treatment and it supposedly transforms your hair from straight to beachy waves that last for like two weeks, no styling required. haven't tried it yet. good luck!

I want my hair WAVY NOT CURLY but i h ave straight hair but my moms friend said dont get a perm cause my hair?

braid it while it is wet or even out it in a crazy bun while it is wet..thts wat i do!

i wish i had your problem my hair is naturally wavy and i hate it , i would swop with you if i could . but buy some crimping irons , instant waves without the damaging effects of a perm .

Permanents aren't as harsh now as they used to be. Plus some are designed specifically for wavy hair.

Perfect Touch is one I used to use all the time on those with straight hair wanting waves. It's very easy on the hair %26amp; never processes beyond the wavy stage. If I remember right it's 20 mins. processing max. You don't want to leave any perm on longer because even though the chemicals aren't as harsh, they're still chemicals. Once it's rinsed out, use a cool rinse to close the hair shaft. It also gives it more of a shine. It's also best to let it dry naturally. Don't wash it for a couple of days so it has time to set. Also make sure any color you may have put on your hair is at least a week old. Otherwise the perm can change it's color. If you've used even semi-permanent or spray on colors be sure %26amp; tell the beautician, especially the temporary ones with a henna base (common again) as it leaves a residue %26amp; the mixture can fry it.

Several beautician supply stores now let you buy it in the store w/o a license, if you want to do it yourself. Sally's is a national chain but there are plenty of local ones.

A good beautician will judge the porosity (how well it holds or absorbs water) of your hair %26amp; check for the curls every 5 mins. if you're just going for wavy.

But the risk of it falling out is minimal (if any) as long as you do what I said above.

I want my hair WAVY NOT CURLY but i h ave straight hair but my moms friend said dont get a perm cause my hair?

What works for me is i curl it really curly. And hairspray. Then i crimp and it becomes perfectly wavy. Try it. But you dont need to try and change your hair. everyone is cool the way they are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want my hair WAVY NOT CURLY but i h ave straight hair but my moms friend said dont get a perm cause my hair?

My sister has dead straight hair and she manages to get it wavy using straighteners (GHDs), take hair in sections - and sort of twist it in a spiral, then don't brush out, just shake your head a bit and apply max hold hairspray. It's the only way she's ever managed to have wavy hair, she did it for me once (I already have wavy hair) and I had loads of spiral curls that lasted until I washed my hair.

I want my hair WAVY NOT CURLY but i h ave straight hair but my moms friend said dont get a perm cause my hair?

If your hair is so straight that it wont hold a curl after braids, heated rolers, buns etc, then a perm wont hold in it either I'm afraid. Some peope's hair is like that.

Try getting a mouse or spritz curl serum and wear your hair in sponge rollers over night. take them out gentelly and finger the curls through until the have lo0osened to a wave. spray the life out of it with a firm hold spray. This will probably hold for a few hours, but not all day.

Sorry not to be of more help!

I want my hair WAVY NOT CURLY but i h ave straight hair but my moms friend said dont get a perm cause my hair?

ok, well i think you sould try this first, and if it doesnt work, then concider getting a perm...

ok. first you will need to have extreme hold hairspray.

and a one inch or one 1/2 inch curling iron....

and maybe some hair starch....

you need to do this in order...

1. dont wash your hair the day you will curl it...

2. blow it dry for a few mins.

3. then start in EXTREMELY small portions of amount of hair.

4. you will need to start from the bottom, then go up.

5. get a small peice of hair from the portion of your hair...

then use the hairspray all over that one peice.

6. curl the pice of hair, let it sit until its hot... then take it out.

7. do your whole head like that, then when your done shake your head... and run your fingers through it all...

its should work out.

I want my hair WAVY NOT CURLY but i h ave straight hair but my moms friend said dont get a perm cause my hair?

If your curling your hair. Try doing it in very small sections, I spray my hair lightly with hairspray before i tong it and lightly after. Too much spray might just weight it down. Once you take the curl out wrap it around your finger and then put a clip in it (bobby pin) let it cool down. Unravel it and it should hold for a while.

As for wetting it i would wet it, plait it then wrap it up in a bun. I would even consider using a diffuser though im not sure this will be as effective but worth a shot? I would either use a sea salt spray (Garnier, bumble %26amp; bumble etc) or a lightweight gel or spray.

Will you please help me with my hair?

I want to do either french braids, fishtail braids, or dutch braids. How do I do fishtail or dutch braids? Please help! Thank you sooooo much!

Will you please help me with my hair?

Fishtail braids are created on dry, rather than wet hair. This adds to their overall loose, fluffy, soft appearance.

This braid works best on dry hair that is medium to very long in length and is not layered.

One hint when creating the Fishtail is to try to keep all the sections equal in thickness and to pull each strand tightly to give the uniform herringbone appearance.

Step One: Start by pulling all hair back into 4 equally spaced ponytails that rest at the nape of the neck. Work on one ponytail at a time and clip the other tails to the side. Be sure to use "hair friendly elastic" bands to hold the ponytails. It is best to use elastic bands that match your hair color.

It should be noted that you can experiment with more or less ponytails depending on the look you are trying to accomplish.

The style can be worn in a variety of modified ways including wearing bangs or side tendrils.

Step Two: Start with a ponytail on either end and then work towards the middle ponytails, finishing up on the opposite side of your head.

Divide the first ponytail into two equal sections of hair. Take a small (approximately 1 inch section) from above the left section of hair and cross it under the right section of hair.

Step Three: While holding the ponytail securely with your left thumb and allow the right side of your hand to be free and then take a small section (same approximate size as the previous section) from above the right side.

Step Four: Cross the section from above the right under to the left side of your hair. While holding the right side securely with your right thumb, continue steps 2-4 until you reach the end of the ponytail. Secure the remaining "tail hair" with a "hair friendly" elastic band.

To create a braid that is similar to the braid displayed above you should allow a long tail to flow down the back. It is best to make all the tails on all the ponytails the same length as much as possible.

Step Five: Once you have created all the braids from side to side, use your fingers or a rattail comb to carefully loosen the plaits to give the look a very soft messy appearance.

It is best to create plenty of "tail" at the end of the fishtail braid or else there is a danger that the elastic band may work its way out of place and the braid may loosen or fall out.

When finished spray with a very light holding hair spray. Since the key to this look is softness, the last thing you want to do is add a heavy spray.

Step Six: The braids can be adorned with gorgeous hair jewels such as rhinestone hair pins or other rhinestone jewelry. It can also be worn "as is". This style is easy, simple, fast and the results are stunning.

This hair style looks especially stunning on thick hair that has lots of contrasting colors that are emphasized with the tied hair pieces.

Hair extensions??? agian?

how do you sew in extensions? what braid technique do you do to braid them in? what all supplies do you need? and how do you remove them?

Hair extensions??? agian?

First, you need to get them done by a professional. There are a few different methods; sew in, bond and quick weave are the most popular. Sew in lasts longer. Bond or quick weave is if u want something really temporary (like for a week) or if you have really short hair that cant be braided.

Sew ins are done after your natural hair is cornrowed in a circular design around your head. The more rows, the more hair you'll need to sew in. I suggest buying 2 packs of Zury human hair in Yacky texture. The stylist will use black thread and sew the tracks into your hair, leaving a part wherever you want it and enough of your natural hair out to cover the tracks. You remove them by letting a PROFESSIONAL ONLY cut the thread loose. Please dont do this yourself and dont let a friend do it, you will end up having bald spots.

Hair extensions??? agian?

Why don't you just go to a salon or better yet, grow out your own hair. It's more simple.

Hair extensions??? agian?

I don't know how to braid them in, but have you seen the new ones with gold clips that just attach near your root? They're pretty expensive and done in Redken salons, but worth it. Try searching for a ColorWorks salon near you and ask about pricing.

Hair extensions??? agian?

the supply you need is hourse hair hahahahehehe!!!!

Hair extensions??? agian?

There are many techniques but the most common are bonded extentions and sewn. Bonded are good for short term. The extentions are put on with hair glue close to the root of your natural hair. They are good for short term but for someone like me who sweats a lot the bonded method isnt good. The sewn method is better for long term. But you need to make sure you go to someone who is experienced to get a good one. However, be prepared to pay for a good job. Research your area for stylists and pricing. That way you know what you are dealing with. Make sure the stylist gives a consult along with show you pics of their work. Make sure during the consult your hair is in its natural state so that they know what they are working with.
