Pretty braided hairstyles?

I'm getting married in a couple weeks and just can't decide what to do with my hair. As I'm Irish, and braiding hair is an Irish wedding tradition, I'd like to have some sort of braid in my hair. Does anyone have any pretty ideas or websites where I can find some sort of formal braided hairstyle?

You should braid on both sides than put them up into a bun.. that way you got the buns and it looks really nice.. done up so u feel free all night.. ull look GR8

To add a retro feel to your look, add a little fun to your hair by doing a faux-hawk/braid thing. If you don't know, a faux-hawk is not really like a mohawk. It's when you tease the top of your hair so it's kind of poofy. Here's an example of one...

To add the braid aspect to it, simply have your stylist continue the braid after the poof. You can add all types of accessories to the braid to make it more formal.

I think it would be really pretty to have a single, long french braid and weave flowers or ribbons into it. (For fall you could add leaves, winter you could add little sparkling snowflakes. You could also do a braided "headband", where you have a thinnish, single braid on one side of your head, and you flip its end on the other side, so it goes across your head like a headband.
