oh and in hte past ive worn quite a bit of black makeup cause otherwise i feel ugly..i only feel pretty with it on.
but i know people have said i wear to much
please help!
How can i become prettier/hotter?
Well, first off, stop fighting your hair. If it's naturally curly, get some good product and let it be curly. There are lots of spray gels, mousses, and cremes for curly hair now - find the one that works best for your hair. Get a blow dryer w/ diffuser, they honestly work wonders. Once you're hair is doing what it's supposed to do, you won't have to be so self conscious about whether or not it's holding it's style. And it will probably look a ton better. Plus it will probably be a lot faster and easier once you get the hang of it. 2 hours is a lot of time to spend on a style that doesn't stick. You might also consider letting your bangs grow a little longer. As far as color, go to a stylist and ask what would look good with your skin tone. Carmel highlights usually look nice w/ brown hair. And highlights are a good way to test out a color w/out dying your whole head and freaking out if it's not a color you like.
Second, if you're pale, stop wearing black makeup. The contrast of the dark makeup and your light skin will just make you look even more washed out and sickly. At 14, you shouldn't be wearing a lot if makeup in the first place. If you have acne, you want to wear a light base to even your skintone. Use a little powder if your skin gets oily. But use very light colors for your cheeks, lips and eyes. A brown mascara is more natural looking. A pink blush and a pink or berry colored lip gloss to add just a touch of color is plenty. And for blue/green eyes get one of those eye shadow packs that has 3 or 4 pre-coordinated colors. Start with something neutral then play with what colors go well with your eyes. But KEEP IT LIGHT. The goth thing was done to death in the 80's.
But whether you want to hear it or not, if people are telling you that you are pretty and you don't believe them, then it sounds like the problem is how you feel about yourself - not how you look.
