I don't know if this a a dreadlocking method already but I was wondering. If I get my hair braided, not to my scalp like cornrows, but braided with each individual braid hanging, and then put some locking wax on them and kinda work the wax into the braid, would they braids turn into dreadlocks? I'm a 28 year old Black man and I have cornrows right now. I desperately want dreadlocks but every time that I get my hair twisted, they never last. I just thought that maybe braids that are hanging might be able to turn into dreadlocks if I just keep them in that style and keep them up. Would this technique work?

It might, but even if it does, your hair will look weird once it grows out more. Say it growns double the length, your bottom half will look like braids, your top half will look like dreads...here, go to this site, its the best dreadlocks site everrr
